When servicing guests, the door person is responsible for being professional, friendly, and helpful, using the "Five Hospitality Standards" of eye contact, a smile, speak first, engage in polite conversation, and use the guest's surname. Job Title: Bell Attendant Company: Location: New York City, NY Description: Retrieve or carry guest items from/to cars, busses, vans, and carts. Carry luggage and packages into/out of vehicles or onto a bell cart to transport designated suite. Navigate bell cart through public areas, guest suites. Required physical stamina to stand, lift, carry and walk continuously. Escort guests to suites using resort service standards ? visually inspect deficiencies to housekeeping/engineering immediately. Point out suite features and directory for reference. Organize and store luggage as necessary in a designated area. Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice/ Assistance give accurate information regarding outlet hours, area attractions, function rooms, car rentals, airline services, etc. Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome with an attentive and responsive attitude especially during heavy guest activity Job Requirements: *Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes continuously throughout the shift *Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform the essential duties *Sufficient manual dexterity in both hands to be able to load and unload *Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking *Considerable knowledge of city and surrounding areas *Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately *Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
