Job Title: Experienced Groundskeeper Company: Farouk Systems Inc Location: Houston, TX Description: Farouk Systems Inc. Is looking for a Groundskeeper for one of there major sites, this is on a grand scale so please make sure if you apply you have done work experience to show us you can handle the work. The site has lots of plants, trees and needs to stay well manicured. This will be an ongoing maintenance and we have 2 other sites we may use you for if things go well. Please make sure your background includes size of site where you have worked at i.e.: Mansion, Hotel, University.   SUMMARY Performs a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks, including, but not limited to. Prepare, establish, maintain, repair, construct and/or install landscape elements such as turf, trees, surfacing, irrigation, signage and drainage. Performs additional functions in areas of certification. Assist with directing, guiding and training Groundskeepers and Seasonal Trades Helpers if any where to be brought on board.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ·         Prepares and maintains landscaping elements including natural and synthetic turf, trees, shrubs, etc. Performs duties such as watering, laying sod, and painting, aerating grass, and maintaining trees. ·         Operate, inspect and perform light maintenance on landscape maintenance construction equipment. Plants and trims lawns, trees, bushes, hedges, and shrubs using hand tools ormotorized vehicles. Landscapes new ground areas, repairs damaged ground areas, replaces bushes, hedges, shrubs, and trees.Cares for and maintains seed orchards. Produces and cares for nursery stock; fertilizessoil when needed for plant growth; plants flowerbeds.Applies herbicide and pesticide chemicals to grounds, trees, bushes, shrubs, and lawns in order to control plant diseases and insects.Daily inspection of exterior grounds. Monitor facility entrances and floor areas during adverse weather conditions. Police facility entrances as required. Implement basic safety procedures during daily routine. Perform general manual labor associated with Building Services functions.  EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:                                                  Minimum of 18 years of age.                         Minimum of three years of related experience, preferably in areas of landscape on a grand scale ie: Hotels, Mansions, Universities.                          LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:                         Criminal background check required for hire.                         Commercial driver’s license (CDL) with Class A endorsement.                         Experience in one of three areas (irrigation, maintenance, construction).
