Job Title: House and Groundskeeper Company: Location: San Francisco, CA Description: Women's substance use treatment center in Marin County is seeking someone to take full charge of our housekeeping and grounds maintenance. Your job is to maintain our facility and grounds in clean, attractive and orderly condition. In doing this, you are a key contributor to saving the lives of women who struggle with substance use, trauma and other mental health concerns. We are located in a beautiful setting along the banks of the Corte Madera Creek. We are looking for someone who can keep our center as clean and welcoming as a fine hotel and add that special bit of warmth and hospitality for all our guests. As the House/Groundskeeper at Marin Services for Women, you will guarantee a clean and comfortable environment for clients to reside. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operation of the ensuring consistent cleanliness standards, and providing assistance to any client inquiries or requests. The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, detail oriented and have a passion for giving clients an exceptional experience. In addition, the House/Groundskeeper position will perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the landscaping, restrooms, employee offices and break areas, showers, and common areas in a clean and orderly manner. Some duties include transporting trash to disposal area, dusting furniture and equipment, vacuuming, lawn mowing, weed-eating and gardening. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Cleaning Duties ? Clean offices, hallways, restrooms, corridors and stairways ? Maintain bathrooms, including changing shower curtains, emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floor ? Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining room ? Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition. ? Disinfect and sterilizes equipment and supplies. ? Sweep, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor. ? Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. ? Dust furniture and equipment. ? Polish metalwork. ? Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork. ? Wash windows, door panels, window sills, vents and other not-so-obvious areas. ? Empty wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area 2. General Maintenance Work: ? Coordinate and work with maintenance staff ? Sets up tables and chairs in various spaces ? May be required to work special events as maintenance support, as needed. Education/Experience: ? One to two years hotel work experience in supervisory or management position, or equivalent work experience. ? Possess effective leadership, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. ? Computer skills in Microsoft Office are required. Skills: ? Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task. ? Ability to manage and prioritize projects under tight time constraints. ? Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented. ? Ability to maintain positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with clients, vendors, coworkers and management. ? Ability to communicate and understand direction in English language. ? Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Physical: ? While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. ? Job Title: Maintenance & GroundsKeeper Company: Location: Stockton, CA Description: Experienced Maintenance person being sought for a medium size motel. Duties would consist of general maintenance (light electrical, light plumbing, some sheetrock repairs, painting, and general repairs to motel guest rooms. In addition, the groundskeeper duties consist of daily removal of all garbage and trash, cleaning walkways and parking areas, lawnmowing, weed removal, and other general groundskeeper duties. General duties will include assisting the Front Desk with room inspections and other duties as assigned. Living on premises is an option that can be discussed when interviewed.
