Job Title: Housekeeping Aide Company: Location: Wichita, KS Description: Duties include but are not limited to:  Serves as a Housekeeping Aid in Environmental Management Services and is responsible for performing all housekeeping functions necessary to keep assigned areas clean and orderly.  Area of assignment may stay consistent to one area, may be changed from time to time, or may rotate through a variety of work areas.  Incumbent carries out routine cleaning problems in an assigned area.  Duties include mopping, stripping, waxing, polishing all types of floors, and maintaining wards, patient rooms, offices and other assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, orderly manner.  Incumbent is responsible for obtaining equipment and materials and must safeguard their use in assigned areas.  Incumbent is also responsible for the roper and economical use of materials and equipment as well as insuring that equipment is returned to its proper storage location.  Incumbent uses light and heavy, electrically and battery powered equipment.  Incumbent is responsible for strict observances of safety practices and in handling equipment and materials so as not to create obstacles in traveled areas where any type of wet floors are present.
