Responsible for the recommendation and sales of wines and other beverages to guests ? Train front of house and chefs about wine / wine matching. Make sure all service staff knows which wines to recommend to each dish of the menu. ? Keep wine cellar (private dining room) of immaculate appearance and order. Make sure new ? deliveries are stored immediately and update on the wine and inventory list ? Monthly inventory and stock control of Wine ? Work with head chef on menu and ingredients which are wine friendly ? Assists the restaurant manager in the scheduling of personnel. ? Assists in the preparation of payroll and also personnel related matters. ? Maintains awareness of the necessary duties of all restaurant personnel and supervise performance. ? Assists in all training efforts by giving input, planning lessons and teaching ? Assures that the table setting and general condition of the restaurant is up to Standards ? Assigns stations and duties to waiters and assistant ? Remains in the restaurant during operating hours and assist both staff and Guests in their needs ? Assists in greeting and seating guests and insures prompt, efficient and Courteous Service ? Handles reservations, questions and complains when necessary. ? Assists in management decision-making when called upon. ? Must be familiar with the Oregon Food Safety Practices and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.

Looking for a front-of-the-house Maitre'D to ensure our guest (customer) experience is most enjoyable. Must be able to develop a strong rapport with our guests. Humor, confidence, customer expectation setting, and ability to be highly professional are all characteristics desired. Responsible for dividing the dining area into areas of responsibilities for the various servers on duty, receive and record reservations for dining, and ensure customer compliments or complaints are responded with appropriate appreciation. Experience as a server, busser, bartender, expeditor, and/or other front-of-the-house positions will be most helpful to ensure a respectful and team-oriented environment is fostered by supporting other front-of-the-house staff as needed.
