Job Title: Room Attendant and Night Janitor Company: Location: Portland, OR Description: The Red Lion Hotel On The River is a resort-style hotel with 320 guestrooms, including 24 suites, conveniently located on the banks of the Columbia River. We are currently looking to hire the following two positions: Room Attendant (part-time) This position is responsible for ensuring each guestroom is cleaned according to the Red Lion Hotel standards. This includes making beds with clean sheets, dusting furniture, replenishing guest supplies and towels, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, wiping down mirrors and replacing amenities. This is a day time position, but must be able to work any day of the week. Will normally work part-time (less than 32 hours a week) but during peak business levels will need to work full time (32 hours or more a week). Previous housekeeping experience a plus. Night Janitor (full-time) This position is responsible for cleaning the kitchen area, employee cafeteria, fitness center and lobby area which includes floors, bathrooms and windows. POSITION SUMMARY The Guest Room Attendant has overall responsibility for cleaning guest rooms, common areas, and offices. The Guest Room Attendant will meet or exceed productivity standards, taking corrective action as needed to ensure standards are maintained. Work hours/days vary as dictated by business needs, and may include weekends and holidays. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Thoroughly clean all assigned rooms within prescribed Brand Standards guidelines, complying with the standard room set-up and time allotment. Maintain the inventory of every item placed in every guestroom. Maintain the inventory, organization and cleanliness of assigned housekeeping cart. Continually communicate status of cleaned rooms to Housekeeping Supervisor throughout completion of daily assignment sheet. Report any ?lost and found? items to the Housekeeping Supervisor immediately, listing the room number or area where it was found. Report any damaged or missing items or maintenance and repair needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Properly and safely use authorized cleaning agents. Responsible for the pass key and assuring that it is turned in at the end of each shift. Report exceptional and/or unusual circumstances, such as no luggage in a stay-over room, no service needed, sleep-outs, pets, etc., to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Bring all dirty rags to laundry room at the end of the shift. Assist guests with questions or requests. Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
