Sous Chef

Join our team at The Crooked Pine, a contemporary American restaurant located in Ogunquit, ME. We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to help lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. If you are passionate about creating delicious dishes using fresh, local ingredients and have a strong background in culinary arts, then we want to hear from you!

Daily Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and create seasonal menus
• Ensure portion control and food cost management are maintained
• Demonstrate excellent knife skills and uphold high food quality standards
• Manage back of house operations, including banquet catering
• Contribute to menu development and assist with food handling and preparation

Required Skills:

• Experience in culinary arts and food and beverage management
• Strong knowledge of sanitation and food safety practices (ServSafe Certified preferred)
• Proficient in cooking techniques and cost management
• Ability to handle ordering and interviewing processes
• Passion for creating innovative dishes and maintaining high standards

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in catering and banquet services
• Knowledge of menu planning and development
• Previous experience in a similar role

Salary and Benefits:

• Minimum Salary: $50,000.00
• Maximum Salary: $65,000.00
