Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our production facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on an industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Proactively identify and resolve cleanliness issues, never walking past an issue.
- Follow daily, weekly, and monthly checklists, ensuring all areas are kept clean in a safe and timely manner.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring all areas are safe and functional.
- Manage waste disposal efforts efficiently.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a clean environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify areas needing attention or repairs.
Skills
- Experience in industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning environments is required.
- Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures is essential for maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment, including buffing machines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain cleanliness in various settings.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus.
