JOB PURPOSE:
Mixologists are responsible for providing prompt, professional, courteous service to all guests. Responsible for mixing and serving beverages according to established recipes and procedures, as well as processing all sales transactions accurately and immediately. Mixologists are responsible for serving alcoholic beverages to our guests responsibly and are responsible for requesting evidence of age from any guest who is under thirty (30) years of age.
QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)
- One (1) year previous experience in related job functions.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Read, write legibly, understand and speak English.
- Successfully pass beverage math test
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Available to work required schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED required
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Obtain and maintain Pala Gaming License
- Ability to obtain and maintain the (RBS) Responsible Beverage training Certification.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Serve all the beverages with a beverage napkin.
- Create unique drinks and cocktails in accordance with customers’ needs and preferences.
- Stay updated on current mixology trends and skills.
- Knowledge of Asian specialty teas and Asian tea service a plus.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all food and beverage regulations.
- Interact with customers, take orders, and serve drinks.
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences to make recommendations.
- Check customers’ identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Familiarizes oneself with drink menu items, pricing, garnishment, and glassware.
- Create seasonal cocktails that are elevated, intriguing and photogenic. This can include the cooking of items.
- Process all sales transactions in accordance with specified procedures accurately and immediately.
- assists servers during the night with cash payments and cashes servers out at the end of the night Abides by laws, policies and procedures pertaining to the service and sale of alcoholic beverages.
- Promptly and professionally oversees guest issues and communicates problems and concerns to management in the event a drink is returned.
- Once tableside bar service begins, the bartender approaches guests and welcomes them to Royal cuisine.
- Requires evidence of the age of any guest who appears under the age of thirty (30)
- Ensure use of guest name when presenting drinks at tableside or performing tableside bar cart service.
- Once you depart from the table, thank guests warmly and wish them a lovely dinner/evening.
- Ensures responsible service of alcoholic beverages to all guests and intervenes as needed in accordance with standards.
- Provides guests with property information, promotions, programs, and attractions.
- Ensures bar top and/or assigned section is clean, clear of glassware and debris.
- Maintains a clean, sanitized, and orderly work environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
- Stocks service wells in accordance with specifications with all products and supplies required.
- Sets up and breaks down service well and/or assigned section in accordance with specifications.
- Receives all products and stocks in accordance with specification. Dates and labels all fresh produce, product, syrups, juices, shrubs etc.
- Ensure all free pour items have specified pour tops and face left.
- Free pours measured shots accurately and consistently. Use of jigger always
- Always maintains a professional and neat appearance.
- Displays a courteous and friendly attitude to all team members and guests.
- Completes duties as assigned, acts as a role model always presenting oneself as a credit to Pala and encourages others to do the same.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, regulatory and state/federal laws.

- Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation.

- Must be able to accurately complete the required documents for sales transactions and banking.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to reach above and below shoulders, grip small items, bend, stoop, and twist while carrying bar stock to and from supply areas; stand and walk up to four hours; able to use hand motions when cleaning and wiping bar areas.
- You must be able to work in constricting areas, tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, and bright lights.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace in an often crowded/noisy environment.
