Food Runner

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for quickly and accurately delivering orders from the kitchen to guests.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)

  • High end Asian restaurant experience preferred.
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Ability to describe and remember all menu items and cocktails
  • Must read, write, speak and understand English

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Pala Gaming License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the (RBS) Responsible Beverage Training Certification.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet all guests as well as offer a departure greeting.
  • Deliver orders to guests seated in Royal Cuisine.
  • Ability to memorize table and seat numbers.
  • Have a complete understanding of the pick-up charts of all dishes and cocktails and describe their ingredients to guests by memorization.
  • Know the proper position of placement of all dishes and cocktails.
  • Know the “6-o’clock” of all dishes.
  • Assist Server Captains clear tables.
  • Communicate to Server Captains any new or additional orders of guests at their table.
  • Remain vigilant to spot any incorrect dishes being run, missing accompaniments, or any other mistakes pertaining to dishes, drinks etc.
  • Report any noticeable problems or damage.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: (*Constantly, Frequently, Occasionally)

  • Constantly standing, walking, hearing, seeing, and talking
  • Frequently smelling, tasting, eye/hand coordination and handling
  • Occasionally balancing, bending, reaching, twisting, sitting, holding, wrist motion, reading and stooping; lifting and/or carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 55 pounds alone

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Work in a moderate noise level environment
  • Standing for up to eight hours, walking on tile, mats, rugs
  • Exposed to various food odors.
  • Works in confined areas while working with others
