With a rotating menu of legally themed drinks like The Alibi, Contempt of Court, and 75 to Life, and incredible light bites, The Langley Sidebar is set to become the place people talk about and travel to from around the Pacific Northwest. The Opportunity: You won't just make drinks, you will design them. You will also help shape the menu, the vibe, and the experience of a one-of-a-kind bar concept that is poised to become a must-visit spot on Whidbey Island. This is a rare opportunity to build something special from the ground up, in a high-traffic tourist location with huge potential. What You will Do: Design and lead a standout cocktail program with a legal theme Create memorable drinks that draw people in and keep them coming back Manage bar operations, ordering, setup, and cleanliness Maintain a high level of hospitality and service during busy evenings Collaborate on menu pairings with our chef-led tapas kitchen Cultivate a classy, welcoming, and destination-worthy bar experience Comply with liquor laws and uphold best practices in safety and sanitation What You Bring: 3+ years of bartending experience in a craft or cocktail-focused setting A passion for mixology, hospitality, and storytelling through drinks Creative mindset with an eye for presentation and menu curation Strong work ethic, leadership potential, and attention to detail Ability to thrive in a startup environment and high-energy crowd MAST permit and WA food handler s card required The compensation package includes a competitive wage of $23/hour and the potential to make significant tips with the small, but efficient staff. The right applicant may also be able to negotiate access to an on-site, water view, newly renovated apartment while working on the island. This is only a 15-minute beautiful ferry ride from Mukilteo.
