Overview

Dental Assistant & Receptionist (Float Position)

Innovative Endodontics

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable individual to join our dedicated team in a dual role as a Dental Assistant and Receptionist. In this float position, you will support our providers chairside during treatment, contribute to exceptional patient care, and assist with front office responsibilities as needed. Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm

.Must be able to travel between our Pittsburg and Sewickley locations

Responsibilities

  • Provide chair-side clinical support to Drs by assisting, charting, patient education, operatory set-up and clean-up
  • Deliver a superior patient experience at all phases of their appointment
  • Take and process X-Rays
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatories
  • Welcome, comfort and educate patients on oral hygiene and post treatment care
  • Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality and follow workplace regulations
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, manage provider calendars
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage patient communication
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations
  • Process payments, handle billing, and maintain accurate financial records
  • Coordinate patient flow and assist with administrative support as needed

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of Dental assisting experience
  • 1+ years of Dental receptionist experience

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Reliable, organized, and comfortable in a high-level clinical setting
  • Completion of a Dental Assisting program or Dental Assisting certification preferred according to State and individual practices
  • Radiology certification preferred according to state and individual practices
