Job DetailsWe are looking for a dedicated Assistant Sommelier to support our wine and beverage program. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about wine, eager to learn, and committed to delivering outstanding guest service. As an integral part of our front-of-house team, the Assistant Sommelier helps execute wine service, assists in inventory management, and supports the education of staff and guests alike .
Key Responsibilities:Assist the Head Sommelier in executing daily wine service during lunch and/or dinner service
Provide thoughtful and knowledgeable wine recommendations to guests
Maintain organization of the wine cellar and service areas
Support the setup and breakdown of wine pairings, tastings, and events
Help manage inventory, restock wine, and track usage
Assist in receiving and properly storing wine deliveries
Contribute to staff training and development in wine and beverage knowledge
Stay up to date with wine trends, producers, and regional developments
Uphold the highest standards of service, hospitality, and cleanliness
Working toward or completion of introductory-level wine certification (CMS, WSET, etc.) preferred
1+ years of experience in a restaurant, wine bar, or hospitality setting
Passion for wine and a willingness to continue education in the field
Strong communication and guest service skills
Professional, team-oriented attitude with attention to detail
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical ability to lift and carry wine boxes and stand for extended periods
