THE JOB:

As a Convention Porter, youre not just setting up event spaces youre setting the stage for unforgettable experiences. From transforming meeting rooms to maintaining flawless event environments, you play a key role in bringing events to life. With your genuine hospitality, youll welcome guests and help craft memorable moments tailored to their unique stories. Every detail you handle helps create the kind of WOW experience theyll remember long after their visit ends.

THE STARTING RATE: $21.2261 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Set up rooms and any banquet function areas with designated tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, podiums, stanchions, easels and other equipment as specified by group requirements and in accordance with departmental standards.

• Breakdown Banquet function areas as scheduled in accordance to departmental procedures, storing all reusable goods and return equipment to specified storage areas

• Inspect set rooms for cleanliness and agreement to group requirements. Refresh meeting rooms when needed or requested according to department standards.

• Stock and organize any necessary carts with designated materials and equipment, transporting to assigned function area.

• Maintain linen inventory and stock in storage areas.

• Set up table linens, skirting and tabletop items (water pitchers, amenities, glasses, etc.) as specified by group and in accordance with departmental standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

• Experience in the hospitality industry or similar environment preferred
