Position Summary:
- As a Prep Cook at The Greek Theatre, youll support culinary operations by preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen during live events. This role is essential to helping the kitchen run smoothly and efficiently before and during service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, chop, and portion ingredients for line cooks and chefs
Prepare sauces, dressings, and cold items following standardized recipes
Set up prep stations and ensure all tools and ingredients are ready for service
Label, date, and store food items in compliance with safety standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization in food prep and storage areas
Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
Support other BOH team members as needed during busy event service
You will also be responsible to help clean up workstation and clean up BOH area in stand.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of kitchen or prep cook experience
Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and directions accurately
Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude
