Summary:

Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures. Responsible for having strong drink knowledge, conducting a proper presentation of the drinks, informing guests of daily specialties, beer, spirits & wine lists, making recommendations of personal favorites, taking orders, and processing payments for guests. Deliver exceptional, authentic guest service to care for the guests.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Greet guests in an upbeat and positive manner

Enthusiastically demonstrate knowledge of beer, spirits, and wines, including house specials, item descriptions, ingredients, and preparation techniques

Uses non-intrusive suggestive selling techniques to sell beverages and food items at the bar

Take beverage orders according to service standards

Serve and replenish drinks in a timely manner, offers refills or new drink when the glass is approximately half full

Be aware and adhere to Company complimentary drink policies as they apply to guests while they are gaming on the property

Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction, and communicate the situation to management

Efficiently handle and count all cash and credit card transactions and account for all monies pertaining to bar banks

Adhere to the proper par stock ordering procedures

Know when and how to enforce the customer limit regulations

Ensure the proper age of guests through the identification procedure set by the Company

Encourage patrons to become True Rewards loyalty member by promoting program benefits

Review daily event calendar and be familiar with current activities/offerings and all Casino/Hotel current promotions etc.

Check coolers to ensure proper operations, orders, and stocks of bar supplies, check the CO2 tanks, and change beer keys (as applicable)

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the bar and ensuring that the bar is neat and well stocked. This side work may include but is not limited to wiping down the bar, refilling condiments, stocking the bar, and restocking the coolers

Accept payment for the guest check, settle using an approved method, and tender change or receipts back to the guest, ensuring all required signatures are obtained

Extend courteous departures as guests leave and invite them to return

Maintain knowledge of Casino events and local activities in order to respond to guest inquiries

Ensure all food and drink is served within health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

Assist other team members, when needed, in instances of side work and drink orders and occasionally help and train new Team Members to acclimate into their new position.

Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meet the company's guest service culture standards

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Must be at least 21 years of age

Previous cash handling experience preferred

Prior experience working in a team or group environment Preferred

Able to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal

Able to accurately perform basic math skills

Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

Work Cards:

Nye County Liquor Work Permit

Physical Requirements:

Standing at least 75% of the time

Lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 25% of the time

Bending and kneeling at least 25% of the time

Working indoors in a noisy, hot, humid environment

Physical condition for repetitive movement

Hearing, speaking, and literacycritical

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity

Additional conditions include the ever-present hazard of sharp edges in and around the slot machines, and poor air quality inside the count room due to excessive dust\
