Tired of working in the kitchen until midnight? Need Family-friendly hours? Would you like to have your weekend nights back? Well, Half Day Cafe is seeking a Prep/Line Cook to join the team at our Mason, OH location. us provide our guests with amazing service and a selection of fresh and interesting food for breakfast & lunch in a friendly neighborhood setting!

We are a truly local small business, owned and operated by people who live right in Cincinnati, not a faceless national corporation or restaurant group. We get to know members of our team and care about them. Half Day Cafe is not a "Brand", it's a home away from home w "teamwork" is not a buzzword, it's the standard that everyone in our kitchen follows.

We're open from 7 a.m. 2 p.m. and closed on major holidays, so no late nights in the kitchen or holidays spent at work instead of with your family!

No fryers or grease. Just delicious made from scratch meals cooked with care.

Requirements/Qualifications:

MUST BE AVAILABLE BOTH SUNDAYS & SATURDAYS! We are a brunch restaurant, so these days are our busiest of the week!

We are seeking cooks of all skill/experience levels. As long as you love food and love working with it, we are willing to train the right candidates who show potential for excellence, but our ideal candidate will have:

2-3 years of full service restaurant cooking experience; breakfast/egg experience a plus.

Befortable working with a team in a fast paced environment

Proper knife skills.

Current knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes

Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Additional qualifications and Perks:

Again - Weekend (especially SUNDAYS) availability is a must! We are a brunch restaurant, so these days are our busiest of the week!

Must be able to follow written recipes and ed order tickets

Outstanding verbalmunication andanizational skills

Accuracy and speed in executing tasks

Ability to work on your feet for 8 or more hours a day
