Summary:

As a Lead Cook, you are essential to delivering high-quality meals across multiple outlets while ensuring cost efficiency and minimizing waste. You uphold strict sanitation, health, and hotel standards, maintaining a safe and exceptional dining experience for guests and team members. Your leadership drives the success of our culinary operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison, as necessary, between line staff and departmental leadership to ensure leadership is aware of any challenges with job performance, staffing levels, and/or job tasks

  • Address any guest concerns by providing guest service recovery

  • Prepare meals following recipes and yield guides

  • Review the production sheet at the start of each shift to align preparation with business demand and reduce waste

  • Monitor inventory daily to minimize food waste

  • Notify the chef of needed supplies for requisition

  • Properly date and label all food containers

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position

  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the companys guest service culture standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years years experience in role with similar responsibilities

  • Excellent knife skills and superior communication skills

  • Able to read and execute recipes, understand production sheets and operate all kitchen equipment

  • Previous experience effectively working and managing with multi-tasking

  • Ability to effectively communicate and lead in small groups, as well as on an individual-basis

  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service

  • Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system

  • At least 18 Years of Age

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Verify right to work in the United States

  • Frequently push/pull up to 50lbs.

  • Frequently lift and/or carry up to 50lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels

  • Frequently Squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist

  • Constantly standing and walking

  • Ability to communicate using in-person speech, radios, and telephone

  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sound in person
