The Event Associate / Catering Assistant will support the planning, execution, and breakdown of internal and client-facing events, meetings, and catered functions. This individual will work closely with the hospitality and workplace teams to ensure food and beverage service is timely, polished, and aligned with a 5-star service standard. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Short term assignment 7/22-7/24
Pay: $24-$25
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with setup and breakdown of catered meetings, events, and internal gatherings (including food displays, utensils, beverages, signage, etc.)
Receive, inspect, and organize food and beverage deliveries from catering vendors
Ensure all catering areas are clean, fully stocked, and presentable before, during, and after events
Maintain presentation and temperature of food and beverages in accordance with safety standards
Provide on-site support during events, including serving, replenishing, and addressing guest needs
Clear dishes, clean up spaces, and reset meeting rooms post-event
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
Track and replenish catering inventory such as linens, utensils, service ware, and beverage supplies
Communicate clearly with the Events or Facilities team about special requests, late deliveries, or issues during service
Assist with light administrative duties related to event tracking, feedback collection, and vendor coordination
Provide occasional support for larger office-wide functions, including holiday parties, all-hands meetings, and client receptions
Qualifications:
12 years of experience in events, catering, hospitality, or food service (corporate or high-end preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professional demeanor required
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., stand/walk for long periods, and perform physical tasks related to event setup
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends as events require
