What Youll Do:
Key Responsibilities
As a Food Service Assistant, you will:
- Supervise inmate workers in meal preparation, dishwashing, sanitation, and kitchen maintenance.
- Review and implement daily menu instructions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain food service security, including accountability for kitchen tools and security keys.
- Oversee proper storage of food items and inventory management, ensuring vendor pricing accuracy.
- Monitor and maintain documentation for inmate special diets and temporary medical diets
- Coordinate cleaning and operator maintenance of all commercial kitchen equipment.
- Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with local, state, and national food safety standards.
What Were Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current ServSafe certification or able to obtain within 12 months of employment.
- Must possess a valid Drivers License and have held it for at least 2 years.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to supervise inmate workers.
