ESPRESSO AND MILK is a grab-and-go coffeebar located at the landmarked Civic Opera House in the Loop. The ESPRESSO AND MILK mission is to differentiate itself in the city of Chicago by providing an overall outstanding and memorable customer experience while consistently offering only the highest-quality products in a friendly and upbeat atmosphere. Although our focus is coffee (as our name implies), we also offer tea, specialty drinks, and pastries.

ESPRESSO AND MILK is hiring a motivated and energetic individual who shares our love for coffee and our passion for providing exceptional and unmatched service to our guests. If you work well in a team and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, then this position is for you. You will be thoroughly trained and provided with the knowledge you'll need to easily execute and thrive in your position.

An E.A.M Cashier / FOH position consists of greeting customers, taking orders on Square POS, serving pastries and cold brew, and managing and organizing a large number of mobile orders. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean FOH. Previous coffee experience is preferred but not required. Personality goes a long way!

Qualifications:

• You are naturally kind and professional. You enjoy meeting new people and strive to offer the best customer service possible.
• Food Handler's Certification / ServSafe Manager Certification is required. If you are not currently certified, we will help you obtain certification within 30 days of being hired

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and teammates
• Ability to listen to customers' orders, repeat it back to them, and accurately enter it into Square POS in a loud and hectic environment.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, and stand for extended periods
• Ability to safely climb ladders and maneuver boxes up to 40 lbs

Current business hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm.

Compensation: Hourly ($21.00 - $27.00)
