Job Title: Line Cook

Job Overview: Nic + Junior's is seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, fine-dining environment. This role requires attention to detail, a passion for food, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Prepare menu items according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Station Management: Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and supplies. Maintain a clean and organized station throughout service.
  • Cooking: Execute cooking techniques with precision, including grilling, sauteing, frying, and plating dishes to perfection.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food presentation and portion sizes to meet the restaurants standards.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, ensuring food is handled safely and kitchen cleanliness is maintained.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operations during shifts.
  • Inventory & Stock: Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients. Notify the chef or kitchen manager of any shortages or issues.
  • Adaptability: Be prepared to assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, including prep work and cleaning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of cooking experience in a high-volume or fine-dining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Culinary school training is a plus but not required.
  • Possess or be willing to obtain ServSafe certification before the employment start date.
Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $24.00)
