Full-Time Estate Housekeeper

Estate Housekeeper | Multi-Property Travel Position: Full-Time Estate Housekeeper (Travel Between Properties) Location : Mountain Brook, AL Schedule : Full-time, Monday through Friday (occasional flexibility preferred) Travel : Required as needed between family properties (with advance notice) A private family of 4 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced full-time Estate Housekeeper to manage the cleaning, care, and organization of a primary ~8,000 sq ft residence in Mountain Brook, AL, as well as additional homes as needed. The ideal candidate has a background in high-end private homes, is confident working independently, and is comfortable traveling to secondary properties (all expenses covered) as needed for seasonal upkeep and guest preparation. Primary Responsibilities : Daily cleaning and upkeep of the home, including: Straighten and tidy all living spaces (refold blankets, fluff pillows, etc.) Freshen and wipe down all kitchen/butler's pantry and bathroom surfaces (counters, sinks, faucets, mirrors, stovetop/knobs, mircowave, etc.) Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all closets, cabinets, drawers, and pantry Report any potential maintenance issues (leaks, smells, etc.) Wash pet food and water bowls Clean windows of smudges Assist with keeping dishes washed and put away Remove trash from all trash cans in the home including bathrooms, kitchen, etc. Weekly cleaning and upkeep of the home, including: Change bed linens Precision laundering/pressing of speciality bed linens Dust baseboards, ceiling fans, light fixtures, vents, bookshelves, etc. Dust and wipe down all windowsills and ledges Vacuum upholstered furniture Vacuum under and behind all furniture Inventory management of cleaning and household supplies Clean sink disposal Monthly cleaning and upkeep of home, including: Clean the oven(s) Change HVAC filters Disinfect high touch items (remote controls, light switches, door knobs, etc.) Microfiber clean screens (TVs, Mirror, etc.) Clean and sanitize trash cans Clean outside grill Clean range hood and grates above kitchen range Sweep/blow out the garage Seasonal Keep patio furniture and outdoor pillows clean Keep patio and porches swept/blown off Maintain cleanliness of Holiday decor during the season and clean up after its removed As Required Clean and prepare guest room spaces before and after visitors Polish silverware Clean crystal glassware and serving pieces Clean crystal chandelier Wax and seal marble countertops (every 6 months) Travel to additional homes for periodic cleaning or family visits as needed Clean and prepare home before and after parties General Specialty care for premium surfaces (stone, marble, antiques, delicate fabrics, speciality rugs, etc.) Maintain a meticulously clean and organized home Collaboration with household team and vendors as needed Ideal Candidate 3-5 years of experience in UHNW homes, estates, or five-star hospitality. Excellent knowledge of cleaning products and techniques, including how to select and use appropriate cleaning products for different surfaces and materials without causing damage. Impeccable cleaning skills and expertise in cleaning various surfaces and fine furnishings. Keen eye for detail. Highly organized. Discrete and confidential, always respecting the privacy of the household. Trustworthy, honest in all matters, and reliable. Must have excellent communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing in English. Flexible and adaptable with a service-first attitude. Comfortable working independently. Professionalism in dress, speech, and conduct, always representing the family in a positive and respectable way. Must have a valid driver's license and ability to travel by car. Willingness for occasional travel regionally (Alabama, Florida, Arkansas). Must be comfortable working in a home with dogs. Willing to work with specialty and non-toxic cleaning products as requested. Must be willing to be paid as a W2 employee. Physical stamina to perform the job duties, including lifting and moving heavy objects and standing for extended periods of time.
