Right now we are looking for a Traveling Chef with the potential of being placed as an Executive Chef in one of our communities.
Overall Job Purpose:
To visit assigned Hawthorn communities to fill in for absent Facility Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs or Cooks, evaluate culinary program, enhance culinary knowledge of staff, ensure Hawthorn procedures are being followed, establish work plans for kitchen and confirm that all assigned facilities are in one hundred percent (100%) compliance with HACCP/ServSafe guidelines to ensure clean, safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
· Prior culinary experience or successful hands-on work experience in high-volume cooking.
· Prior management experience preferred.
· Extensive travel is required, often on short notice.
