Pickford and Black is a high-volume restaurant located on the waterfront of downtown Halifax. Our kitchen team strives to use the best of what the Maritimes has to offer to create a delicious menu that incorporates not only amazing fresh seafood, but also farm-fresh local produce, meats, and poultry.
As a Prep Cook, You Will
- Complete daily preparation of food
- Ensure food is prepped with high quality and in a timely fashion
- Maintain the kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
- Organize work areas as well as storage areas
- Maintain a high standard of safety and sanitation
- Communicate with kitchen staff, cooks, sous chef, and theHead Chef
- Follow instructions as directed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef
- Assist in all areas of the kitchen as required
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations andsafety standards
- Clean kitchen and work area
- Follow all operations policies and procedures
- Work alongside the restaurant team to establish a safeand fun atmosphere
