Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Custodian to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of our manufacturing plant on our off-shift. The ideal candidate will perform routine cleaning, general maintenance, and other repair tasks while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.

Shift: 7:00 pm - 5:30 am, Monday - Thursday

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and Sanitation:

  • Maintain general maintenance of manufacturing and office areas, including floors, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces.

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as floor scrubbing and grinding and dust removal

  • Facility Maintenance:

  • Conduct basic maintenance and repairs, such as changing lightbulbs, unclogging drains, and minor equipment adjustments.

  • Perform routine inspections of building systems and report any issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Assist with painting, furniture assembly, or moving equipment as needed.

  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Support emergency response efforts, such as spill cleanup or weather-related preparations.

  • Special Projects:

  • Assist with setting up and tearing down for events, meetings, or special functions.

  • Participate in seasonal maintenance tasks, such as snow removal or landscaping.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or maintenance roles preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and maintenance tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and bending, for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Flexible schedule may be required, including occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime.
