Job Summary/Basic Function:
As a kitchen helper, you will:

• Support kitchen staff in the preparation, production and service of culturally inspired meals
• Work with a diverse team under the direction of culinary staff
• Present delicious, safe, fresh food that is cooked to the specifications for the meal

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food through multiple methods, using industrial equipment (we will train)
• Assist in maintaining safety & sanitation standards in food handling and preparation
• Wash dishes and maintain clean work areas, equipment, utensils and surfaces
• Provide excellent services to guests

Minimum Qualifications:

• Familiarity with food service and food safety methods is desirable but not necessary
• Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented
• Flexibility in scheduling (primarily on weekends, including holidays) concurrent with program needs
• Pass a background check in accordance with local labor laws
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to read recipes in English
