R.O. - Room Attendant

Position: Housekeeping Attendant (Saturdays)

Location: Topsider Resort, Islamorada, Florida

Reports To: General Manager

Purpose

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for sorting, cleaning, and distributing linen and supplies to all units. The attendant is also responsible for performing quality checks on all units and common areas and assisting in maintaining all units and common areas to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares and cleans rooms, including dusting furniture, mopping floors, and cleaning bathrooms (mirror, vanity, sink, toilet, shower, bathtub, and floor).
• Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies (e.g., facial tissues, toilet paper, amenities) in the correct amount and location.
• Cleans closets, door tracks, and checks for dust or debris, ensuring the proper placement of hangers and additional linens.
• Strips dirty bed linens and replaces with clean linens.
• Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Performs quality checks on units and common areas to ensure they are ready for guest arrivals.
• Cleans condos, common areas, and other resort areas as assigned.
• Sorts, washes, dries, and folds laundry, checking for stains and treating them as necessary.
• Maintains a clean and organized laundry room, garage, and closets.
• Ensures units are ready for guest arrivals, following up with proper linen replenishment and supply restocking

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Previous hotel-related experience desired
• Must have a passion for cleanliness
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in an environment with accuracy
• Maintains a desire to improve the quality of work
• Ability to maintain professional conduct at all times
• Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Physically be able to walk up and downstairs.
