Job Title: Shift Leader
Location: Chick-fil-A Lexington
Reports To: Operations Manager, Directors, Executive Leadership Team
Job Purpose:
As a Shift Leader at Chick-fil-A Lexington, you will play a crucial role in leading our team to provide an exceptional guest experience. Your leadership will guide Team Members through efficient, food-safe, and guest-focused shifts that align with our core values and operational standards.
Daily Responsibilities:
Operational Logistics:
Write and communicate Lineups in advance of each shift
Strategically place Team Members in roles for optimal efficiency and guest service
Ensure all Team Members receive appropriate breaks and rotate outdoor positions per OSHA guidelines
Food Safety:
Adhere to and enforce Chick-fil-A and local Health Department food safety standards
Money Management (FOH-Specific):
Maintain accurate safe counts at scheduled times
Manage cash flow, register loans, till resets, and settlements using ServicePoint
Deposit register cash into Loomis SmartSafe and process Manual Deposits when needed
Manage Change Fund ordering and deposits
Accurately code and record Paid Outs, report through inFORM
Accountability & Leadership:
Model and enforce CFA Lexington Core Values and Standards
Ensure all areas are clean, well-stocked, and prepared for upcoming business
Oversee completion of daily tasks and Jolt checklists
Track attendance issues and assist with shift coverage when needed
Troubleshoot IT and iPOS system disruptions
Support maintenance of store equipment
Handle guest recovery situations with care and professionalism
Qualifications:
Demonstrated excellence in all positions within your respective area (FOH)
Must be able to confidently open or close the store as needed
Completion of the "Core Assessment"
Fewer than 6 attendance points on record
Effective communication skills, especially via Slack
Endorsed by a majority of the Senior Leadership Team (Culture Check)
