Laundry Attendant - Dollywood's DreamMore Resort & Spa - Full Time Seasonal

At Dollywood Parks & Resorts, we create memories worth repeating. We do this every day across Dollywood Resorts which includes over 600 rooms and 15 Food & Beverage outlets, all located in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Our plan is to grow our resort footprint to over 1200 rooms across five resorts at Dollywood and to add other resorts to our overall company resort portfolio.

We are seeking a Laundry Attendant Lead who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand and our region.

The recipe for the right Laundry Attendant will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, mentor and motivator.

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the cleaning process of hotel linens to ensure guests and hosts experience a clean hotel. All in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and operating philosophies of The Dollywood Company.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial washers, dryers and folding machines. This includes loading and unloading of all machines
• Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications
• Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor. Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen
• Operate the folders and other laundry equipment in accordance with the product specifications
• Clean up machines and surrounding areas as necessary per shift
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
• Operate laundering equipment to safely and thoroughly clean and press linen, keeping work area clean and safe
• Help ensure laundry operations run smoothly by alerting the supervisor when equipment stops working properly
• Understand how to program and operate the ironer
• Ability to program dryers and washers according to the product load in cycle
• Sort out all linen that needs to be done
• Completes other duties as assigned
• Clean all lint traps in dryers at least 2 times per shift
• Push and pull linen carts that are full of linen
• Participate in monthly linen inventory
• Count and stock linen shelves
• Must be able to function in a team atmosphere

Education and Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six to 12 months previous commercial laundry experience preferred
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen

• Able to sit and/or stand for long/short periods
• Able to comprehend instructions and retain information
• Must be able to operate industrial laundry equipment required
• Must be able to push carts weighing up to as much as 400 pounds throughout the shift
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch on a regular basis
• Must be able to stand in work station for up to 7 hours per shift
• Must be able to drive to various areas of the hotel to pick-up/deliver linen items in allotted time provided
