General Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled individual with experience in Carpentry and/or Building Services Trades to join our Maintenance Team.

The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently, demonstrating responsibility, and following organizational policies. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing general building components such as carpentry, masonry, flooring, and drywall, as well as assisting with plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and communication repairs. Additionally, you will oversee the operation of HVAC systems, including the boiler plant, and prepare rooms and apartments for occupancy, including painting and deep cleaning.

Responsibilities also include managing emergency response systems, ensuring clear egress paths, assisting with trash and recycling removal, and coordinating inspections and external contractors. You will perform routine maintenance, conduct building walk-throughs, create work orders, and maintain logs to ensure compliance with policies. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to supervise contracted services are essential for success in this position.

The role requires the ability to meet physical demands, manage time efficiently, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
