Houseman/Groundskeeper

Lovely family in Greenwich seek a Houseman/Facilites Associate to assist on their busy, active estate. The successful candidate will possess the following: Courteous, discreet, honest and responsible. Hard working and detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Have a flexible attitude and be a self-starter; positive, pleasant personality. Have related experience and expertise in similar position. Flexible and able to accommodate changes in household routine or plans with ease. Able to follow direction and instruction from employer and accept constructive criticism. Able to work legally in the United States, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record; bondable. Well groomed, non-drug user, physically able to perform the duties of the position. No drinking or smoking on the premises. Long-term intent. Duties include: Minor repairs (paint, drywall, stone, woodwork, etc) Maintaining cleanliness of exterior of the property Watering plants Cleaning pool (between visit by pool cleaning vendor) Powerwashing house, stone, outdoor furniture Changing filter in HVAC equipment Basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting Maintain cleanliness of tennis court (summer) and hockey rink (winter) Report issues to House Manager and Facilities Manager Check function of all systems: HVAC, Audio/Visual, Plumbing (well pumps), Electrical, etc and troubleshoot as necessary Ensure all tools are functional, clean and in good repair Set out garbage cans weekly and return cans to their place after pickup Check exterior light bulbs and change when needed Assist inside team with tasks as required: moving heavy items, cleaning on ladders and so forth Wash vehicles weekly Assist with vehicle maintenance Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Wednesday through Sunday, 8:30am - 4:30pm with overriding flexiblity required based on the needs of the family.
