JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Pool Maintenance Worker
FLSA: Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Spa
REPORTS TO: Spa Director
SUMMARY: To handle the day-to-day operations of the pool. Completing daily pool maintenance such as vacuuming the pool, scrubbing tiles and any other task assigned by the Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. This is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by incumbents of this position; employees may be assigned other duties which are not listed below; reasonable accommodations will be made as required. The job description does not constitute an employment agreement and is subject to change at any time by the employer. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Maintain the cleanliness and chemical balance of the pool water
Skim and remove debris from the surface of the pool
Vacuum and brush the pool walls and floor
Monitor and adjust pool equipment, such as pumps and filters
Test water quality regularly and make necessary adjustments
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
Provide excellent customer service to pool users
Report any maintenance or repair needs to management
Complete any additional tasks and assignments assigned by the Lake Supervisor and Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of pool maintenance techniques and equipment
Ability to handle chemicals safely and accurately
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy equipment and working in outdoor conditions
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION PREFERENCE(S):
CPO Certification preferred but also willing to train
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Physical demands on the incumbent consist of sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
