SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Head Cook, Cooks are responsible for assisting the Head Cook with the management of the food service operations in the school cafeteria. This position is approximately 32 hours per week Monday - Thursday from 6:00am - 2:00pm.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Head Cook.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Helps with preparation and serving of all food in the cafeteria
- Help with final preparations of school lunches
- Help serve student's lunch
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and student eating areas
- Help Coordinate the daily operation of the cafeteria by assisting with planning, directing, and participating in the preparation and serving of all food in the cafeteria
- Assist Head Cook with daily work schedules for all cafeteria employees
- Help plan school menus and maintain food production and service based on pre-determined lunch menus
- Assist with the weekly ordering, receiving, inventorying and security of all food and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
