Marthas Vineyard Housekeeper

Private family seeks a full-time year-round housekeeper on Martha's Vineyard. During the summer when the clients are in residence, the candidate will be required to work weekends and holidays. In addition to a flexible schedule, the candidate must have dinner service and event experience. The ideal candidate should be extremely detail oriented, have a strong knowledge of laundress duties in addition to primary housekeeping duties as well as a proactive attitude towards keeping the home in pristine order. The candidate must be able to work seamlessly with additional household staff. Housing is not provided. Responsibilities Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, antiques, silver, etc.) Maintenance of home for guest readiness at all times including making beds, preparing rooms etc. Completing the client's laundry including washing and ironing clothes Superior organization skills and willingness to go above and beyond in all aspects of the job Organization of all closets, pantries, and storage areas Cleaning, care, and upkeep of the residences Additional Housekeeper responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the family Requirements Excellent references required from both current and previous employers Minimum 5 - 7+ years of experience working in a private home Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities; willing and able to take direction well Thorough knowledge of deep household cleaning, and storage organization Polished, poised, and professional in both mindset and manner; use of utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work additional hours as needed Working both independently as well as with a large team Legally able to work in the United States Compensation $55-$65 / hour + benefits Posted: Friday, April 25, 2025 Job # 180
