Position Overview
The Part-Time Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of Quaker's paint facility. The work schedule is set to be an 8-hour shift on Sundays only. The position performs cleaning and housekeeping operations in the Paint Production Building. Tasks performed by the Part-Time Cleaner impact the maintenance of paint manufacturing equipment and the safety of others. The position is focused on building upkeep. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in the success of this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Wipe down paint manufacturing equipment
- Wipe down walls
- Use a shop vac
- Mop floors
- Clean the ceiling in the Paint Booth
- Scrape the Paint Washer Excess Bin
- Continually work to eliminate dust in the Paint Production Building
- Maintain the cleanliness of the production building.
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping operations around the production lines
- Dispose of daily trash
- Complete cleaning of other production buildings as needed or requested
- Interact and communicate with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.
- Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location.
- Plan, prioritize and monitor cleaning activities.
- Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct management or supervisory responsibilities.
Safety
Observe safety and security policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment including but not limited to eye and toe protection; report potentially unsafe conditions; and use equipment and materials properly. Follow job-specific safety requirements such as Hand Safety, Ladder Safety, Scissors Lift/Cage Lift Safety and Safe Material Handling requirements.
Travel
No travel is required.

Preferred Education and Experience
An individual is expected to have the minimum level of education and/or related expertise listed here:

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are Sundays during a flexible 8-hour shift.

This is a manufacturing job. The employee must be able to:
- occasionally lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 35 pounds

Vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to climactic variations, fumes or airborne particles. Various different types of Personal Protective Equipment might be required based on the employee's work location. The noise level in the work environment may require hearing protection.
