BASIC FUNCTION
Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Maintenance and Grounds, coordinates daily task with Grounds/Maintenance Assistant and participates in performing routine grounds/maintenance and gardening work on the district sites, assists maintenance workers in basic tasks, and does other related work as required.

Requirements / Qualifications
License Required:
Valid California motor vehicle operator's license
Forklift Certification
*****Must possess and/or obtain a California Pesticide Applicator license within six months of hiring date****
MATERIALS

Comments and Other Information
Ability to:
Operate and maintain power equipment used for landscape maintenance, and light maintenance work.
Use and maintain hand tools use in landscape maintenance, and light maintenance work.
Comprehend written and oral instructions In the English language.
Perform heavy manual labor.
Landscape concepts and designing.
Desired Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and related work experience equivalent to the twelfth grade education.
A minimum of five years experience as a Grounds keeper and three years as foreman.
