Job Summary:
The Lodge at Hocking College is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Part-Time Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This position involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, stockkeeping, and ensuring a high level of customer
satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and
responding to inquiries about the menu and drink options.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, cleaning
countertops, and disposing of waste properly.
Stock and replenish bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice, to ensure efficient service.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service and ID verification for age restrictions.
Collaborate with front office staff and other team members to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, following company policies for cash handling.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of bar functions and special events as needed.
Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required to stay updated on menu changes and service standards.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Previous bartending or relevant experience preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and beverage service.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Certification in responsible beverage service is a plus.
