What you'll do:

• Support event planning for the agency such as staff events, and community events
• Other even planning/marketing activities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Post secondary training in marketing, event planning, office administration or equivalent relevant experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer literacy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
• High attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong time management skills

Additional Qualifications:
This summer position is offered as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program and therefore to be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the Temporary position;
• be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the Temporary position;
• have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally entitled to work in Canada

Hours of work:

Monday - Friday 7 hours per day between hours of 9am - 4:30pm

8 week duration
