Company Overview: The Dillard House, a Farm Resort is a new addition to the Legacy Ventures portfolio and will be an exciting adventure as we build on what the Dillard family has developed since 1917. This one-of-a-kind property is nestled in the picturesque Tennessee River Valley within a two-hour drive north of Atlanta in Rabun County. It will represent tradition with authentically sourced cuisine, numerous outdoor activities and outstanding southern charm and hospitality.
Summary : Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems in resort and restaurant facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition to effectively communicate with guests, team members and community.
- Be familiar with and adhere to Legacy Ventures Service standards as outlined in the Blueprint and other policies / rules of conduct, to include personal appearance / grooming, attendance and safe / efficient operations.
- Ensuring completion of work orders
- Creating and implementing Preventative Maintenance Program
- Ensuring adherence to local, state and federal compliance of OHSA regulations
- Conducting Life Safety Training and maintaining records related thereto
- Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance of Life Safety Systems
- Training and development of maintenance Team members
- Operating within established budget guidelines
- Providing excellent service to internal and external customers
- Vendor relationship management
- Inventory control of property operations related tools and supplies.
- Expense Management
- HVAC maintenance and repair
- Maintaining resort aesthetics (painting, furniture maintenance, etc.)
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment; installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
- Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment, such as robots or programmable controllers.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
- Maintains a Preventative Maintenance Program within the rooms to insure they are being kept up to standards on a quarterly basis and the proper documentation is being recorded.
- Proper uniform, and name tag always worn.
- When meeting a guest, acknowledgment and a pleasant greeting is always given.
- Team member is able to assist guest on in house outlet information along with local information.
- Respond to maintenance requests received from the housekeeping department within 15 minutes (occupied room).
- Response to guest requests for maintenance assistance within 15 minutes or less.
- Parking lot and grounds will be patrolled on a continuous basis throughout the day (minimum of two times per day).
- Pool chemical testing must be completed a minimum of twice a day.
- Emergency lighting is to be checked a minimum of once a week.
- In-room smoke detectors are to be checked monthly.
- Guests’ name will be always used upon entering an occupied room.
- When approached by a guest with a problem, Team member will have the knowledge to be empowered to assist the guest in resolving the problem.
- Keep a daily maintenance log of all work performed on all areas of the resort/motel.
- Comply with all OSHA standards and be aware of any potential chemical hazards and the protective equipment needs in handling them.
- Maintain property exterior curb appeal and landscaping per company procedure and standards.
- Team members will understand the financial goals of their department and resort.
- Team members will understand the role they play in attaining the financial goals of their department and resort.
- Interacts with internal and external customers in a positive, professional and accommodating manner.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: College degree preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
