SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is to greet incoming/outgoing Members and Guests. As our first and last points of contact with the guest, our bell team set the tone for the guest experience and can have a large impact on their stay.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; and a minimum of three months related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist guests with their luggage, golf bags and any other items in their possession.
  • Valet vehicles in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Provide a warm welcome and inform guests of resort amenities, general information, and events.
  • Deliver ice to any location on property.
  • Hold front doors open for guests entering and exiting buildings.
  • Pickup and deliver messages and any other materials needed by others.
  • Pick up and deliver laundry.
  • Demonstrate how to operate TV's, fans and temperature controls, lamps and telephone in guest rooms.
  • Ensure the hotel entrance is free of debris such as cigarettes, empty beer cans and other trash.
  • Know the location of all fire exits and ice/drink machines in the hotel, villas, Holly and Manor.
  • Know location and operating times of all amenities in Hotel and on property.
  • Record all activities in logbook.
  • Use claim checks for stored luggage.
  • Store in-coming luggage either in storage area or in room closets with proper "new luggage" form.
  • Assists anyone with any task when possible.
  • Keep brass luggage carts clean and shining.
  • Ensure interaction with guests is professional at all times.
  • Ensure BMWs in Guest Drive program is clean and charged.
  • Never accept from an outside vendor or distribute for an outside vendor any passes, discount coupons or other collateral.
  • Never accept any form of compensation from an outside vendor in return for recommending or promoting their business.
  • This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
