Provide skilled maintenance and complex repair work on the remote villageclinics, hospital site, campus grounds, and limited medical and non-medicalequipment.Maintenance Tech is equal to and provides the same function as the definition ofMaintenance Engineer as described in the NFPA and NSHC Policies Proceduresor Plans.Uphold the organizations vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrateunderstanding of and compliance with organizations policies, procedures, codeof conduct and work rules.**Essential Functions:**Perform high level preventive and corrective maintenance on physicalplant equipment such as HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems,high- and low-pressure oil-fired water and steam boilers and water heatingsystems: Report equipment and structural problems and neededequipment or supplies to immediate supervisorTest equipment using safety analyzer, volt meters, ohm meters, ampmeters and special hand toolsInspect, calibrate, adjust, clean and lubricate mechanical and electricalcontrols, valves, gauges, timing devices and meters; Provide installationand repair services on complex and major systems throughout the facilityas indicated by appropriate logs and work ordersTroubleshoot equipment issues and develop correction plansTravel to village clinics to perform routine maintenance on equipment,troubleshoot and coordinate solutions between the Nome-basedoperations and the villagesTrain and mentor junior level engineers and technicians on complex preventive maintenance and repair workPerform other duties as assigned**Personal Traits:**All Norton Sound Health Corporation employees are expected to consistently demonstrate the organizations values: integrity, cultural sensitivity and respect for traditional values, continual learning and improving, compassion, teamwork and pride.
