Golf Course Maintenance Worker

Under the supervision of the Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent,performs grounds and facilities-related maintenance duties at the Quail Dunesat Fort Morgan Golf Course.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs a variety of duties in helping maintain golf greens, tees,fairways and roughs.Operates push and riding lawnmowers.Operates string trimmers.Operates backpack blowers.Utilizes a variety of tools such as rakes and shovels.Cleans and maintains equipment and facilities.May paint facilitiesPerforms such other duties as may be assigned.WAGE: 17.47 per hourDAYS/HRS.: Full Time SeasonalQUALIFICATIONSEducation and/or Experience:Minimum age 16. Previous experience with the tools, machines and equipmentused in the maintenance of a golf course preferred.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must possess a valid Colorado driver s license. Valid CPR/FA Certificationpreferred.LANGUAGE SKILLSMust be able to express ideas clearly and concisely. Must be able tocommunicate problems with supervisor.Page 2 of 2PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly requiredto talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sitand reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to usehands to finger, handle or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel,crouch or crawl. The employee may work in elevated areas. The employee mustregularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/ormove up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includeclose vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception and ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The workenvironment includes working around various forms of wildlife: includingreptiles, insects, birds and rodents.
