POSITION PURPOSE

Under general supervision, stocks all bars with needed supplies and ensures the cleanliness of bar areas. Provides superior service to all guest.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains and ensures checklist to completion including but not limited to opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain the beverage stock in beverage supply room/areas.
  • Deal with high-volume guest interactions while displaying outgoing, upbeat and cheerful demeanor.
  • Stock all bars and beverage stations with supplies, fill ice bins as needed.
  • Assists bartender with various task such as, cut fruit, get change, provide breaks.
  • Assume duties of bartender and servers during breaks.
  • Adhere to company policy by measuring all drinks using either the Berg system or a jigger.
  • Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer. Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Participates in liquor pull in compliance with the Missouri Gaming Commission.
  • Accurately account for and collect payment for all drink orders through POS system.
  • Monitors guest consumption of alcohol by providing responsible alcohol service.
  • Clean glasses, utensils, bars, bar mats, trash cans, floors, walls, tables and bar equipment. Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including late nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Abide by the Appearance Standard set forth for the department.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21-years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming registration.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain responsible alcohol service certification.
  • Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
  • Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is required.

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through at least 1-year experience directly related to the accountabilities specified as well as three months of bartending experience.
