Housekeeper - Private Ranch in Ojai Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM (Flexibility required for weekends, evenings, and holidays) Location: Ojai, CA Compensation: DOE A family is seeking an experienced and proactive Housekeeper to join a close-knit team on a serene 36-acre ranch in Ojai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience working in high-end private homes or hospitality settings and will take pride in creating and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. This is a hands-on role requiring a high level of discretion, physical energy, and a strong sense of initiative. Key Responsibilities: Interior Care & Organization Perform detailed daily and deep cleaning throughout the main house and surrounding buildings Handle laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care with attention to fabric types and garment care Make beds, dust, vacuum, mop, and maintain pristine interior spaces Restock household supplies, monitor expiration dates, and maintain household inventories Organize pantries, closets, and storage areas Outdoor Duties Maintain cleanliness and presentation of outdoor furniture and common areas Water plants and assist with light outdoor upkeep as needed Perform occasional errands, grocery runs, and offsite shopping Vendor & Household Management Schedule and oversee outside vendors (e.g., handyman, ADT, electricians) Report and manage household repairs and maintenance Assist in maintaining a hotel-like hospitality atmosphere, especially when guests are present Pet Care Walk, feed, and provide general care for the family dogs Accompany pets to veterinary appointments and provide pet-sitting support when needed Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of professional housekeeping experience in private homes or luxury settings Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management Self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to work independently and anticipate needs Physically fit and able to lift up to 30 lbs, kneel, squat, bend, and perform active tasks Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Pet-friendly and experienced with dog care Possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record Basic computer and smartphone skills (for scheduling, communication, and inventory tracking) Must pass a full background check and provide strong references This is a unique opportunity to be part of a peaceful, nature-centered household in a stunning setting.
