Multi Trade Maintenance Mechanic- Dining Services

- In coordination with Towson University Facilities Management and Towson University Dining Services: oil, clean, adjust, overhaul and repair of commercial cooking and ware wash equipment.
- Use test equipment and instruments to locate and diagnose malfunctions in ovens, steamers, ranges, dish machines, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
- Perform major overhaul and repair work that involves disassembly and inspection of parts, replacement of defective or worn parts, reassembly of equipment, instruments and/or controls, and testing equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly.
- Perform a variety of preventative maintenance functions on food service equipment and maintain proper records.
- Assist Campus Facilities Management personnel as needed for campus emergencies and other special circumstances.
- Work all sporting events as needed and required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Five or more years of related work experience in the trade.
- Five years of related maintenance experience and thorough knowledge of legal requirements and safety codes related to the installation and operation of refrigeration systems.
- Candidate must possess a valid MD driver's license with no more than 5 points.
- CFESA Master certification.
- Must have extensive electrical, plumbing, gas, steam, and basic knowledge of electronics.
- Must be able to read Schematics of all styles.
- CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Candidates selected for employment may be subject to medical inquiries and/or medical examinations to determine ability to perform the job. Valid Maryland Non-commercial Class C or equivalent driver's license may be required. Candidates selected for employment may be required to be trained to work with asbestos.
