Overview

The Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in residential or commercial settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. This position requires a commitment to quality service, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of assigned lodging accommodation and public areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.

Assist with cleaning and upkeep of the dining hall where possible.

Assist with maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues.

Collaborate with housekeeping management to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.

Report any issues identified in lodging accommodations and public areas while cleaning to housekeeping management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred but not required.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean efficiently and effectively.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Schedule:

Day shift

Monday to Friday

Weekends as neede
