    Position Requirements:
    • High School Diploma (Preferred)
    • Must possess physical body, dexterity and coordination to achieve angles and positions required to perform various tasks including bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally, and ability to climb ladders and work from heights as necessary.
    • Must be able to distinguish between different chemical materials with ability to read and understand label information.
    • Ability to learn occasional hazard and safety precautions.
    • Possesses effective interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability in prioritizing duties
    • Ability to work in a professional manner with school community
    • Works cooperatively with others
    • Must have sufficient strength and ability to independently and repeatedly lift, move and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and to move and carry objects weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
    • Employees must be able to pass physical abilities test/post offer screening for employment.

    Performance Responsibilities:
    • Cleaning may include, but is not limited to, removing trash, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, buffing, cleaning carpets, washing windows, scrubbing floors and ceilings, sanitizing restrooms, changing lights and ceiling tiles.
    • Make certain all areas of the building are kept in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.
    • Assure safety during inclement weather including shoveling, salting, providing slip protection on wet floors.
    • Apply cleaning chemicals according to established safety procedures.
    • Adheres to safety measures for cleaning, lifting, moving, and operating equipment.
    • Advise building principal/Maintenance Department on matters relating to mechanical equipment and/or building maintenance.
    • Keeps all equipment in a good state of repair and cleanliness.
    • Employee is required to properly use safety equipment appropriately to prevent injury to self or others.
    • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
    • Periodically inspects or maintains awareness of facility and equipment to detect and prevent injuries or damage.
    • Secures all facilities as needed
