Job Description


The Sonnenalp is seeking an On call Banquets Server Wage1481hourplus tips Primary Purpose of Position Banquet servers are responsible for all conference services events from set up to servicing to breakdown to cleanup The Banquet staff is often required to act as host busser inventory controller and other duties while carrying out the specific duties of their position The position requires working closely with a high volume of demanding clientele and other staff Banquet staff must not only be congenial but able to attend to customer requests in an efficient and timely manner Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review Banquet Event Orders BEOs at the beginning of each shift to ensure room is set as contractedConfirm and setup AV equipment needs to contract for the eventAssist in ensuring that the events are on time Make adjustments as needed and relay that information to the appropriate personnelMaintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the banquet spacesCommunicate any areas of need problems and concerns from guest to Banquet ManagerMaintain proper dining experience delivering items fulfilling customer needs removing courses replenishing utensils refilling glassesPolish silverware and flatware; roll napkinsSet room with banquet furniture and all other requestsKnow and adhere to LHW sequence of service and standardsReact to last minute changes in a professional mannerAct as a responsible personable representative of the Sonnenalp teamEducationExperience Banquet experience in a luxury hotel preferredBasic understanding of wine and cocktailsPersonable disposition which is maintained in pressure situationsStrong organizational skillsSpecial SkillsEquipment Experience with POS desiredTIPS certification preferredEssential Physical Requirements Ability to work a flexible scheduleLong hours are required at times; 8 12 hour shifts up to 50 hours per weekAbility to carry up to 40 lbs regularlyBenefits Medical Dental Vision InsuranceResort DiscountsHoliday Pay & Sick Pay401k Retirement Plan & Roth 401k After one year and 1000 hours workedEmployee Assistance ProgramShort Term and Long Term DisabilityParking Credit or Discounted Bus PassesEmployee MealPaid Community ServiceEmployee Conduct It is the responsibility of every employee to contribute to a positive work environment through cooperative and professional interactions with co workers guests and vendorsThis job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills efforts duties responsibilities or working conditions associated with the position Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time
