- Conduct routine inspections of hospital buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry repairs as assigned.
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and document completed work.
- Maintain and repair hospital furnishings, fixtures, doors, and windows
- Assist with installation and relocation of equipment and furniture.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols.
- Participate in preventative maintenance programs and maintain accurate records.
- Complies with established personal protective equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation, asbestos and other hazardous substances.
- High School or Trade/vocational School graduate with relevant hospital/healthcare experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition; able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks
- Knowledge of OSHA and healthcare safety regulations a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
